Contractor website design that stops sending jobs to your competitors
Homeowners look you up before they ever call. They check your work, your reviews, and how fast your site loads on their phone. Then they call you, or the next contractor on the list.
We do custom contractor website design for home builders, construction companies, and HVAC, roofing and plumbing businesses. Every site is built to rank on Google and AI search, built to turn a visit into a quote request, and live in 7 days.
outdated was established in 2017. We’ve worked with 2,000+ businesses and made $100 million+ for clients in a year.
What homeowners do before they call you
Here’s what the research shows.
- They read your reviews. In BrightLocal’s survey of 1,002 US adults, “97% of consumers read reviews for local businesses.” And “47% of consumers won’t use a business with fewer than 20 reviews.” (BrightLocal, Local Consumer Review Survey)
- Then they open your website. Same survey: “After reading positive reviews, 54% of consumers then check the business’s website.”
- They ask AI. In the same survey, use of ChatGPT and other AI tools for local recommendations jumped from 6% to 45% in one year.
- They stop at Google’s AI summary. That’s the answer that pops up first, at the very top of Google. Pew Research Center tracked real Google searches. When that summary shows up, only 8 out of 100 searches end with a click on a regular link below it (15 out of 100 when there’s no summary). So if your business isn’t in that summary, at least 92 out of 100 searches never reach you. (Pew Research Center)
- They leave slow sites. Google found that “53% of visits are abandoned if a mobile site takes more than three seconds to load.” (Google, The Need for Mobile Speed)
That’s the moment that matters. They like your reviews, then they open your site. It has to finish the job.
What every contractor website we build includes
- A custom design. Never a template. It looks as good as your work.
- Your work up front. Real projects and big photos, right away. Homeowners hire what they can see.
- One clear next step. A quote or consultation button on every screen, sized for a thumb.
- Fast on a phone. Your customers are standing in a kitchen or a driveway, not sitting at a desk.
- Built to rank on Google and AI search. SEO and AI search optimization, done for you.
- 100+ extra pages, free. Each one answers something your customers search for, from each service you offer to the questions they ask before they call, so you show up for more than your company name.
- A Google reviews system. New reviews keep coming, job after job.
- Add a CRM behind it. Track everything that comes through your site, so no lead sits forgotten in an inbox. Our custom CRM guide shows what that looks like.
- Live in 7 days.
Web design for construction companies and home builders
Building and remodeling is a visual sale. A family choosing a builder wants to see the work, understand what you do, and feel safe reaching out.
That’s how we built the site for MM Custom Design, a home renovation and construction company. It opens on a modern house at dusk under the line “Your Home, Reimagined.” As you scroll, you move through the front door into a finished kitchen, then across hardwood floors toward a renovated bathroom. Every service sits right in the menu: kitchen, bathroom, roofing, flooring, painting, siding and commercial work. Reviews have their own spot. A “Free Consultation” button sits in the header, so a visitor never has to hunt for the next step.

Good web design for construction companies does the same three things. It shows the work. It explains your services in plain words. It makes the call easy.
HVAC website design
When the AC quits in July, nobody reads ten websites. They call the company that shows up first, loads fast, and looks like it can be trusted.
Reviews carry a lot of weight here. In a survey of 400 homeowners by Clear Seas Research and ACHR News, “91% of respondents rate online reviews as an important factor for them when choosing an HVAC contractor.”
Our HVAC website design puts your reviews, your services and a tap to call button right where a stressed homeowner looks first. “AC not cooling” and “new furnace” are different searches from different people, so repair, installation and maintenance each get their own page.
Roofing website design
A new roof is one of the biggest checks a homeowner will write. They want proof before they let you up there.
Our roofing website design leads with your finished roofs, the materials you install, your reviews, and a simple way to book an inspection. Repairs, replacements and storm damage each get their own page, so you show up when people search for exactly what they need.
Plumber website design
Most plumbing calls are urgent. The site has one job: get the phone ringing.
Our plumber website design keeps the call button and the request form at the top of every page and loads fast on any phone. Emergency repairs, drain cleaning and water heaters each get their own page. When someone searches for what they need, your page is there with the answer.
Why a custom contractor website beats a template
A template looks like every other contractor’s site. It’s built for anyone, so it speaks to no one. Custom contractor website design is built around your services, your photos, and the words your customers type into Google. We compare the two in detail in Custom website vs template.
We don’t take every project. Operations or services don’t align with our values? We’ll tell you on the call.
Contractor websites and Google ranking
We build your site to rank. Google says, “More reviews and positive ratings can help your business’s local ranking.” (Google Business Profile Help) That’s why a reviews system comes built into every site we make.
How a contractor website gets built with us
- A free 15 minute call. We start with a free online checkup of your Google ranking, what AI search says about you, your reviews and your phone speed.
- A plan and a clear price. If we can help, you get both before anything starts.
- We build it, live in 7 days. Design, words, pages and setup, done for you.
- It keeps working. The reviews system, the extra pages and the CRM keep doing their jobs after launch.
What does a contractor website cost?
It depends on what the site has to do: how many services you offer, and whether you want quotes, bookings or payments to go through it. So we don’t put one number on a page. On the call, if we can help, you get a plan and a clear price before anything starts.
Stop sending customers to your competitors.
